What an awesome day on the Connecticut River!

This is one of my many happy places!  If you ever take a trip to New England in fall you have to go for a boat ride on the Connecticut River and watch the launching of the big balloons!  It's really something to see.....

My friends and I take our boats up the river and anchor out.....everyone brings an appetizer and of course a full cooler.  Time just slips away as we stand in the water and catch up on the weeks happenings of everyone's crazy life.  I truly feel my soul being fed.....when I get on that boat and feel the wind in my hair and the caribbean music coming out of the new speakers, I feel everything is right with the world.

Summer is coming to an end and as much as I will miss it, I am looking forward to our fall cruises and and watching the leaves turn to orange and yellow and red as we speed down the river.
